| Autocross is an amazing way to learn about how your car drives, more so than drifting even IMO. I hoped more drifters will utilize this motorsport to hone their skills and learn their cars better. | |

| I'll probably get my car out to a few autoX events if i can get it to pass their inspection stuff. Pretty much i'd need the same things i'd need for the DE events. (windshield or screen, roof support or roll bar) | |

| Here is a clip of the AutoX event on Sunday, March 15th. This was my first event in about 3 years with a new car and without power steering so it was definitely a learning experience.

| You dont have to become a member of SCCA, but the events will cost more. I think if you plan on attending 5 or more SCCA events then the membership pays for itself. Otherwise its not really worth it. | |

| Actually I think I remember last season they made it so you do have to be a member, but you can get a temporary membership the day of the event for free or $5 or something, and it's good for a month or something like that. I can't remember exactly, I think I remember it sort of does force you to buy a membership eventually though because you cannot use the temporary one forever.
But yeah, autocross first and learn to go fast first then go drifting later. Just knowing how to drive a car at the limits prepares you much better to actually drive beyond the limit when the time comes. | |
