So there's not actually a way to tell what you have and haven't read. Can this be fixed?

When you havent read something in one of the categories, the category icon is yellow, after you have it goes back to the regular colors. Or if you'd like, on the home page there is a link at the top the states 'view posts since last visited'. LMK if there are in any other complications with the site, thanks.

to be honest, it's kinda hard to tell which icons are yellow vs white. maybe a more dramatic (obvious) color?
also, what about e-mail alerts when someone posts a reply to a topic you've posted in? i kinda like that.

You will have to go into your Profile/Prefrences set up email alerts.

There is a button at the top of your profile page for prefrences.

Also if you cant see YELLOW you can put your mouse on the icon and it will tell you new posts or no new posts.
